Agent:  How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?

Seller:  “Both of us could envision a life here. It did more than just meet the basic requirements on our checklist. We could “see” ourselves (newly married at the time) starting a family in this house.”

Agent:  Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?

Seller:  “Yes! Both my husband and I attended schools in this district and had a wonderful experience. We knew what schools we did not want our future children to attend and were confident our children would have a quality education here.”

Agent:  What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?

Seller:  “1)We love the quiet dead-end street. There is very little traffic and it’s common to see deer near the house year around. 2)Storage! This house has so many pantries and closets. 3)Super low utility bills. The house is on well water and a sewer tank, so there is only an electric bill. The lot is so well shaded though that even in the hottest of AL summers, our AC unit doesn’t have to work very hard. 4)The fenced in yard. We really enjoy being able to leave our dog in the yard while we are gone and know he is safe. 5)Low maintenance. There’s not much required of a brick and vinyl exterior. 6)Open floor plan. Great for entertaining a house full of people. 7) Spacious master suite. It has 2 closets, one of which is a huge walk-in. The bathroom has a large vanity and linen closet. 8)Sun room. I can draw up all the blinds and feel like I’m outside without actually being outside. Which is really nice when the weather outside isn’t pleasant.”

Agent:  Where do you find yourself spending the most time in the home and why?

Seller:  “I would say the kitchen. We spend a lot of time entertaining and I’m often in there preparing food or cleaning up. With the open floor plan I can do that while still enjoying our guests. My husband would likely say in the shop. He enjoys fixing, building things and just being outdoors in general.”

Agent:  What improvements have you made to the home or property over the years?

Seller:  “We added the privacy fence, gravel driveway and utility shop. We laid tile in the master suite and office, along with all new carpet upstairs. All of the exterior vinyl is new. We also added the stainless steel dishwasher and refrigerator.”

Agent:  What are your favorite grocery stores and shops in the area?

Seller:  “There is a Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, Dollar General, several drug stores, and a variety of places to eat within a couple of miles of the house.”

Agent:  Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?

Seller:  “Entertaining. We enjoy having our friends and family over to share a meal. Whether that be a cook-out or a holiday dinner, this house provides plenty enough room to accommodate everyone.”

Agent:  Average utility costs in summer and winter?

Seller:  “During the summer our electric bill is $100-$150. During the winter less than $100. Despite having a Silverhill address, it is powered by Robertsdale Utilities. Robertsdale has the lowest utility costs in Baldwin County. The house is on well water and a sewer tank.”

Agent:  What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?

Seller:  “We are not moving far, we will always be part of this amazing community. However we are downsizing homes significantly, so that will certainly be an adjustment.”

Agent:  If you don’t mind me asking, why have you decided to sell your home?

Seller:  “We have recently purchased a nearby horse farm.”
