    Seller Interview with Jason Will: 

    Jason: “What were the deciding factors that led you to buy this home?  How did you know this was the one you really wanted?”

    Seller: “I was in the market to buy a boat, but bought the house instead.  The location was what got me interested in the house.  It is just a short bike ride to beautiful Downtown Fairhope, 10 minutes from the interstate and 20 minutes from downtown Mobile. and   The biggest factor for me buying the house was watching turtles, pelicans, herons, and hundreds of fish all from within the house as well as being able to kayak straight from my own house.  Other factors were the privacy of the acreage, the private boardwalk to Mobile Bay, which makes you feel like you are away from the city, the beach, the pier, the 24 foot ceilings in the formal living room, and just how beautiful the house is overall.”

    Jason: “Was the original emotion you felt for the house validated after the purchase?”

    Seller: “Absolutely.  There is more wildlife here than you can ever imagine.  You never know what you are going to see when looking at of the sunroom or kayaking. In addition, with all of the amenities as well as privacy it is a perfect place to entertain guests.  The house is the reason I didn’t move back to Tampa four years ago.  It is a nature lover’s paradise, which fits me perfectly.”

    Jason: “Where do you find yourself spending the most time in and/or around the home and why?”

    Seller: “I spend most of my time outside on the beach because of the sunsets, views of the water, downtown Mobile, and sometimes dolphins.  Inside of the house I spend 100% in the sunroom of the kitchen watching the fish, turtles, pelicans, herons, and birds as well as simply watching it rain.”

    Jason: “What improvements have you made to the property since the purchase?”

    Seller: “I replaced 1,200 +/- square feet of tile, updated the master bathroom, guest bathroom, master bedroom, formal living room, and dining room, installed two new heat pumps, and installed new gutters.”

    Jason: “What would you say are your top 5 or 10 selling features of the home?”

    Jason: “Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?”

    Seller: “No, but it is conveniently located near some of the top public and private schools in all of Baldwin County.”

    Jason: “Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?”

    Seller: “Obviously watching nature and wildlife captivates a lot of my attention. I love to go kayaking. One time in particular, I was kayaking and had dolphins swimming all around me. Watching sunsets on the beach. Running and riding my bike on the 36 mile Eastern Shore Trail, which is right across the street, as well as shopping and eating in Downtown Fairhope.”

    Jason: “Average utility costs in summer and winter?”

    Seller: “Around $200 in the winter and $350 in the dead of summer.”

    Jason: “What will you miss most about life in Sans Souci property?”

    Seller: “All of the information I have previously discussed above about my interests, hobbies, and reasons I bought the house as well as the people within San Souci.  I go to know a lot of them while serving as President on the HOA Board and everyone within the neighborhood are really great people.”

    Jason: “What will you miss most about the Fairhope community?”

    Seller: “I will really miss the vibrant Downtown area, the people, the very low crime rate, the nature, the water, and overall just the sense of a community that we all share here in Fairhope.  There is a reason Fairhope is one of the best places to live in the country and it is not all the location, but more importantly the people.”
